Workers and villagers in Costa Rica report brutal injuries that look unlike any known animal attack. Rumors of a "lizard" or "raptor" circulate. InGen quietly covers up some incidents — a hint that something unnatural is at work offshore.

John Hammond’s company, InGen, recovers fragments of dinosaur DNA and—using modern genetics and frog DNA—reconstructs viable genomes. On remote Isla Nublar, they hatch living dinosaurs and prepare a theme park to display them for wealthy visitors.

Hammond invites paleontologists Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, and lawyer Donald Gennaro to inspect Jurassic Park. He hopes their approval will reassure investors and the public about the safety of the project.

The group arrives and is struck speechless by living dinosaurs — a towering Brachiosaurus feeding in the treetops. The spectacle is breathtaking, and the scientific implications stagger the visitors.

Ellie examines a Triceratops that has collapsed. She discovers the animal has eaten a toxic plant that, due to the island’s unique ecosystem, causes fatal reactions. The scene reveals practical difficulties in managing resurrected ecosystems.

Visitors ride automated jeeps and observe herds of herbivores like hadrosaurs. The presentation is theatrical and carefully choreographed until unseen predators and ecological anomalies hint that the show may be brittle.

Inventive but greedy, Dennis Nedry disables the park’s security systems to steal embryos for a competitor. His action causes a cascade of failures: fences lose power, gates fail, and the island’s delicate order collapses in a violent storm.

With the fences down, the Tyrannosaurus rex breaks containment. It smashes tour vehicles, kills Donald Gennaro, and forces Dr. Grant to protect Hammond’s grandchildren in a desperate survival sequence.

Nedry becomes disoriented while trying to deliver the stolen embryos. He is attacked by a Dilophosaurus and killed — the embryos are lost in the mud and never reach their buyers.

Separated from the rest, Dr. Grant protects Tim and Lex through long nights in the jungle, observing dinosaur herds and narrowly escaping predators — a story of resourcefulness and connection.

Velociraptors — intelligent, fast, and coordinated — escape containment and begin hunting the survivors with terrifying cunning. They probe doors, open handles, and stalk through buildings.

Ellie and Muldoon risk their lives to restart the island's power systems. Their mission is a tense mix of tech-savvy and danger — each corridor could hide a predator.

The survivors are cornered by the raptors in the Visitor's Center. Just as the situation becomes hopeless, the T. rex unexpectedly arrives and attacks the pack, allowing the humans to escape.

The Costa Rican government intervenes. The island is quarantined and later attacked to ensure dinosaurs can’t escape to the mainland. Survivors cope with trauma and the ethical questions raised by resurrecting extinct life.
